if you have a scanner then follow following things,
on the scanner and set following settings.
document type = “photo”
colour mode = “greyscale”
document size = “Auto detect”
resolution = “100 dpi”
save as type = “jpeg”

and then scan.
save this file in folder and then open same file in PAINT.
in paint mode u can change its size as per they given.
size given in task bar of paint.
when u get desired size then “save as…” and “PNG”.
If u want to confirm the saved image then click on “properties”
it will show u the desired result. I try to explain the whole process.
but when u on pc then u may find it difficult.
your software may be different . i use “WINDOW XP” and “CANON LIDE 100 SCANNER”.

Iam a Ex serviceman. In this Advertisement all the ex service man are exempted from fees. But in the On line application Fees exemption claimed cloum I Give `Yes ` my application is not processing. But I give` No` my application is prossed and get ID NO. Kindly advice me may i deposit fees in bank or not and give another procedure please.

Ex Serviceman are exempted from the Fee. You are not required to pay fee. If you have secured any employment as an exserviceman then you are not exempted from the fee.

Use Gimp2.6 editing software, which is available in the website at free of cost. Through Gimp 2.6 you can convert JPEG, TIFF, PDF into 8 bit png grey exactly.

Please try Gimp 2.6 editing software. It can convert all images into png formate with greyscale. I used this software only for applying SSC exam. Here you can set pixels, etc. It is very useful. Please try it. All the best.

The photo should be in the PNG Format and size as mentioned in the advertisement, there will not be any problem in uploading, Try again,
When you scan your photo save it in PNG format not in JPG or JPEG,

Sir, while applying online for CGL-2010, the software is not accepting Fee exemption for Exservicemen, whereas the advertisement in Employment News clearly mentions the exemption of fee for Ex-Servicemen. Even the advertisement on your website also speaks the same.Please update your software for application online for CGL-2010.

After Part 1 registration is complete you can visit the ssconline.nic.in to fill up the part ii online form for CGL 2010 exam by SSC.

The size(80 px width & 100 pixle height for Photo and 100 pixle & 60 Pixle for Signature) and format (PNG Gray Scale 8 bit ) must be adhered to upload the photo and signature.

After scanning the photo and signature you can convert the format and size of photo and signature in png 8 bit gray scale with help of ADOBE PHOTOSHOP or any other such tools.

no need to enter all field in preference field. if u r a bindass person and ready to face any post they offer to you then just type “M” in first preference field and this will enough. But if you have any physical problem then give those preferences which not demand any physical fitness..
